The Plainfield Athletic Club was established in 1952 and today, has almost 1,000 players, ages 4-16, in both in-house and travel leagues. Registration for in-house usually begins in November with the season beginning in April and ending by mid June. Youth are separated by age or grade level. A travel league is available for youth ages 8-15, tryouts are in July and August. PAC's Board of Directors, league commissioners, and head and assistant coaches are all volunteers.

In the Spring of 2021, Plainfield Athletic Club officially became part of Little League International.  PAC has the opportunity to enter both baseball and softball into the year-end international tournaments including the Little League World Series as seen on ESPN and ABC TV.  This is an exciting chapter for PAC.
